Michel Mercier

Three-time Canadian National Superbike Champion and FAST Riding School owner Michel Mercier began racing in 1973.

His determined and aggressive riding style soon became his "trademark" and was admired by both fans and other racers.

Michel has represented Canada while racing in the United States, England, France, Spain, Australia and Japan.

In an 18 year career, he won a total of 25 Canadian National titles in four different divisions of motorcycle racing. This includes five Canadian National #1 plates in ice racing and three Canadian National #1 plates in roadracing.

After having started FAST Riding School in 1987, Michel retired from competition in 1990 on a high note, winning his third Canadian National Superbike Championship.



Dave Grummet

Dave Grummet started racing in 1984, and quickly moved up to the Pro Superbike ranks by the end of his second season.

In 1987 he qualified 3rd in Yamaha World Cup and the following year won the Canadian RZ Cup Championship.

Competing in Canadian National Pro 600, Dave finished the 1989 season 5th overall. Riding a 250GP bike in 1990, he won two races in the Canadian Pro Formula 2 class, finishing the year second only to Steve Crevier.

In addition to being an instructor for 10 years at FAST, Dave owns Parker Bros. Powersports, a motorcycle equipment and accessories store in Toronto.



Jean-François Cyr

"JF" Cyr finished the 2002 Canadian National Pro Open class in 3rd place.

In 2001, he finished 3rd in the Canadian National Pro 600 class.



Kevin Lacombe

Kevin Lacombe was runner up in the 2002 Canadian National Pro 600 class and finished 4th place in the 2002 Canadian National Superbike series.

He started racing at Shannonville and won his first Canadian National Superbike race last September.

When not roadracing or teaching at FAST, Kevin enjoys riding dirt bikes and ice racing during the winter.



Rob Leybourne

In 1990, Rob Leybourne won the Am Open RACE Championship.

Also that same year he finished second in the Canadian National Am Superbike class.

Rob has 13 years experience as an instructor at FAST.



Francis Martin

In 2005 Francis Martin won the Canadian National Superbike Championship for his second time.

In 2002 he won the Canadian National Open Sportbike Championship. And in 1999, Francis won the Canadian National Superbike Championship.

Francis Martin started as a student at FAST and began racing in 1995.
